Hot and Top ISP’s in Pakistan

Hell, I was trying to find internet service providers in Pakistan over the internet and I almost found some old links where they were discussing about just dial-up connections. So I got an idea to write top isp’s in Pakistan. Let you know I am very heavy user of internet in sense of bandwidth and storage. I feel so strange when I see peoples are still using dial-up connection for thier business even for fun. I mean what is fun in 58kbps? Just chatting? No men come grow up fun is something else over the internet such as youtube, facebook, metacafe, miniclips and many more.

I am using broadband internet since 5 years and during this time i really faced lot of issues and miracles from ISPs specially from PTCL broadband. First I used cybernet which is great in both functionality and customer services. But cybernet is too much expensive compare to others so i decided to switch towards PTCL broadband and really that was my worst decision ever. Then i switched to Wateen Wimax and still using, wateen is better then ptcl and other ADSL providers and it is cheap too. So let have a view in detail on each ISP from my eyes…

PTCL Broadband

As I said above it was my worst experience of internet usage in life. 0% customer service you will feel that you are talking to a  credit card seller on the topic of your internet connection. They also cheat you on the name of DSL actually they are providing ADSL which need your dump Landline connection. In case if you dont have telephone line so first you need to apply for new connection which is impossible as we all know.

Still people switch to PTCL just because they are providing cheapest tarrif compare to market. Have a look on thier tarrif. But I wont recommend you to use PTCL personally. All depends on you!

Multinet Broadband

They are still good in functionality but they did not update themselve with technologies, after all Multinet is in the founder list of broadband in Pakistan. I used multinet servicie in my office. I was so upset that they also have bad customer services which is very important for me and for each who does not know anything about networking. They also provide cheap packages and that is why mostly cooperate sector joins multinet services. One thing is that being a website designer I get so confuse because of bad navigation strategy on thier website just have a look and try to find where they write thier packages?

Cybernet Broadband

It is only service which makes me satisfy in customer services and functionality terms. But they are too costly as compare too other providers and unfortunatley it was not able to come inside my budget planning. But if you are rich person and love to use quality internet service so I recommend you to connect with cybernet now this is ofcourse for you dear. I was using 128kbps and 2GB package in the price of 1500 monthly but really it best as compare to 1mbps of PTCL. Have a look on their packages.

LinkDotNet Broadband

This is another broadband service in the name of ADSL no true dsl. They are too bad in both functionality and customer services their telephone operators just wants customer to shut the call asap. Its too cheap but only minority who’s aim to do only chat with girlfriend shift to LinkDOTNet nothing attractive and efficient for proffesionals but still visit their website to have own view.

Worldcall Broadband

They are good and only true dsl provider in Pakistan means use cooper internet cable to run internet. Anyways the main disdvantage is that they have not even covered complete karachi. They are famous and running their business in cooperate areas such as Sharah-e-faisal and Tariq Road. I don’t know the reason but i always heared that worldcall is planning to cover complete Karachi.

Recently they launched EVDO technology in Pakistan first time yes you will have only one usb device like data traveller which take you on the highest peak of internet. It is most salable product of the year 2008 for the laptop users and it is widely coverable in karachi. Look their dsl and evdo pakcages.

Wateen Wimax Broadband

We can not forget step of wateen in our country where we are able to use wireless broadband internet in our home in the cheap rates. Before wateen we only used to wireless internet in our offices because they are too costly. Wateen made it possible. Also wateen is in the list of top sales of Pakistan Information Technloogy industry. Customer services are just average but believe you wont need to talk customer service agent daily because functionality is so superb. Because it is wirless so it may create signals issue in your home and you need make sure this thing before paying.

I love to enjoy wateen internet and telephony package both cheap calls all over the world. Almost monthly they announced something new in their packages corner. I faced issues in billing early when they were providing post paid connections but now a days they have converted all post paid packages in prepaid and surley they faced lot of loss! Wateen pakcages.

Mobilink Infinity Broadband

This is last but not least provider mobilnink is always famous for thier quality customer services and this time mobilink will provide greatest customer services in their infinity product. It is quite impressive product which also provides you excellent voice packages in the cheap rates. It is quite similar to wateen but littile bit expensive but guys common you are using mobilink and can not drop mobilink product just because of few hundread rupees. Mobilink may be my future internet service provider I am just waiting to hear mobilink real user’s comments about their functioanality I do not have any question about their CS services. Only disadvantage is that it is only available in Karachi. But they also trying to expand this product and after analyzing market I sure mobilink will revise their packages in few months because of competitors. Visit mobilnik infinity website.

So far above providers are the top and hot in Pakistan, you can find others such as brain net, micro net, geryys net and other. Now days some mobile operators also introducing edge technology such as warid, ufone, mobilink, telenor and Zong. But for me they are useless.
